NOTCH |
Create horizontal lines at even intervals along an alignment.
Usage:
The NOTCH command will create a series of lines at even stations on the specified alignment.
Select an alignment in the dialog box, and enter the start and end stations. Also specify the spacing between lines. The spacing is measured beginning at the start station, and proceeding toward the end station.
You may also specify a pattern for the generated lines. The pattern should consist of a string containing "1"s (the number one) wherever a line should be drawn. All other characters are parsed as a "gap". For example, a pattern of "11." will cause lines to be drawn at the first two intervals, then the next station will be skipped, then two more lines, then another gap, etc.
Example 1:
Start Sta: 100+00
End Sta: 400+00
Sta Interval: 100
Start Offset: -50
End Offset: 50
Pattern: 1
Example 2:
Start Sta: 500+00
End Sta: 0+00
Sta Interval: 25
Start Offset: 20
End Offset: 50
Pattern: 1.1.111.
