Jim James L. Sincovec, PLS
President

James Sincovec is co-founder of Edward-James Surveying, Inc., and has more than 38 years of experience and expertise in all phases of land surveying.

Mr. Sincovec has extensive experience in providing solutions to complex surveying challenges in the areas of cadastral, highway, ALTA surveys, right-of-way, construction surveys, control surveys, topographic surveys, residential, commercial, and industrial projects.

Prior to starting Edward-James Surveying, Inc., Mr. Sincovec was co-owner of Terra Nova Engineering and Surveying, Inc., and former Director of Surveying for J.R. Engineering, Inc., both located in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Mr. Sincovec has a B.S. degree in Mathematics and is a registered Professional Land Surveyor in Colorado (No. 17502) and California (No. 6101).

Ed Edward R. Fisher, PLS
Vice-President

Edward Fisher is co-founder of Edward-James Surveying, Inc., and has over 14 years of land and construction surveying experience.

Mr. Fisher has extensive experience in all phases of ALTA surveys, residential, commercial, industrial, and highway surveying. Mr. Fisher continues to improve field crew skills with new and improved staking procedures and data collection processes.

Prior to starting Edward-James Surveying, Inc., Mr. Fisher was co-owner of Terra Nova Engineering and Surveying, Inc. and a project surveyor for J.R. Engineering, Inc., both located in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Mr. Fisher has a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering Technology and is a registered Professional Land Surveyor in Colorado (No. 38042).

Rick Richard J. Sincovec, LSI

In addition to working as a Surveyor and Survey Technician, Richard Sincovec is responsible for all things computer-related for Edward-James Surveying, Inc.  Mr. Sincovec has nearly ten years experience in all phases of land and construction surveying, including bridge and highway staking, commercial and residential subdivision layout, section breakdowns, and airport runway and tarmac construction.

As a Surveyor for Edward-James Surveying, Inc., Mr. Sincovec's duties include researching projects, checking plans for errors, calculating coordinates for points to be staked in the field, analyzing and adjusting field notes and collected data, and producing all types of final drawings for delivery to clients.  He is also responsible for AutoCAD customization and defining AutoCAD standards for Edward-James Surveying, Inc.

In addition, Mr. Sincovec is a senior computer engineer with over a decade of experience in all phases software development, and handles the Webmaster, Graphic Artist, and IT Support duties for Edward-James Surveying, Inc.  He is the author of the various articles and utilities located on this website, and is well-known in the Autodesk community as one of the premier experts on how to use Autodesk® Civil 3D for Surveying.  Mr. Sincovec is also the creator of the Sincpac-C3D™ Extension for Civil 3D, and the founder of Quux Software.

Mr. Sincovec is a registered Land Surveyor Intern in the State of Colorado (No. 60113).
